Want fresh local produce but don't want to travel to the outskirts of Brisbane to get it? Then Jan Power's Queen Street markets are for you.

Located at the top of Queen Street Mall in Reddacliff Place, the markets host a large variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy and more. There are over 30 stalls to satisfy your fresh food needs.

There are also a range of exotic food stalls, why not try some German sausage or Churro's whilst you browse the markets (or the rest of the city). There is also a great range of local wines available for purchase that will satisfy even the toughest of wine tasters.

The markets only sell current in season produce so the products available vary depending on the season. You can see the range of produce for yourself here.

There are also occasional cooking classes held using only the seasonal ingredients found at the markets. Some recipes have included Salmon Fillets with Kipfler Potatoes, Mediterranean Pasta, Chinese Fish and Pear and Treacle Upside Down Pudding. All of the recipes can be found here.

The markets are held every Wednesday from 10am to 6pm at the top of Queen Street Mall in Reddacliff Place.
