The Riverton Parish was officially established on Easter Sunday, on the 25th March, 1951. In 1952, land was bought for a parish site at Tribute Street at the cost of 320 pounds! They later added another block for 300 pounds and then they started building the church as well as the school.

The parish school eventually opened with thirty-four students on in February 1956. In 1964, a new kindergarten was opened with about 70 children. Over the years more land was bought and the school increased in size to what it is today.

The Queen of Apostles Community Fair will be held on 5th November 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm.
