I love finding little gems that are away from mainstream shopping centres, that offer a personalised service, affordability and very importantly … parking! And, this is how I recently discovered the newly-opened
Queen Nails Spa & Beauty , a boutique-sized, family-owned business, located on the high side of Buderim.
I'm well aware that artificial - gel or acrylic - are generally not advisable, long-term, for natural nails, but every now and again the desire to have your nails prettied up for a special occasion or for a bit of a confidence booster, takes over from all the nanny-negativity reports that one read. Besides which, there are many advantages to having one's nails 'improved' with an enviable set of great looking 'nails'.
Acrylic and gel nails are long lasting. They are more resistant to breaks than natural nails and longer lasting. Acrylic nails have been around for a long time which means that nail technicians are more familiar with applying and removing these nails, so hopefully cause less damage to the natural nail bed.*Sometimes the only way to prevent nail biting is to cover up the nail itself. Most women who have daily struggles with nail biting, will find that because of the acrylic nails' durability and hardness, they are more difficult to chew or bite.
My hands are always in water, the end result being that my nails are either too soft and tear easily, or dry and brittle, causing chipping and breaks - either way, acrylic or gel nails help with preventing painful breaks and (as long as the length is reasonable) give me the confidence to be more adventurous with activities, without fear of breaking or splitting a nail. There's nothing worse than breaking a nail!
If you can find yourself a good nail technician, acrylic and/or gel nails can be very natural looking, closely mimicking the look of natural nails and
Queen Nails Spa & Beauty achieve this very successfully.
The well-positioned
Queen Nails Spa & Beauty in Buderim offer a high-quality, attention-to-detail pampering service. I also love that everything in the salon is sparkly new; little hand towels are pristine white; Covid-safe rules have been implemented and the range of nail colours, hard to beat. Currently,
Queen Nails Spa & Beauty are offering clients an overall 10% discount - I am not sure how long this offer will be running for, so to avoid disappointment, an 'earlier' rather than a 'later' appointment is highly recommended.
I am absolutely delighted with my 'new' nails and will definitely be back … my sights firmly set on a new pedicure - there is nothing quite like the confidence boost achieved with having awesome-looking hands and feet. And, for those who really struggle with weak nails - book your next appointment with
Queen Nails Spa & Beauty, walk-ins are also always welcome.
I personally think: if you are not gifted with the 'real' thing, then why not
'fake' it, till yours make it!'
Author's Verdict: A definite 10/10 for attention-to-detail service, friendly ambience and affordability
