New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Cultural performances, food stalls & family fun
On Sunday March 5th, the Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival–Carnivale will be held at Queanbeyan Park, just 20 minutes over the border from Canberra's CBD. This will be the 10th time this event has been held, with over 20 spectacular performances to watch and enjoy. There will be food stalls and family activities, as well as high energy African dancers, a traditional Maori show, a Macedonian Dance Troupe, Egyptian Folkloric Dancers, Mexico Lindo, stunning Belly Dancers and more.
There will also be a public signing between Queanbeyan City Council and the Refugee Council of Australia acknowledging Queanbeyan as a Refugee Welcome Zone.
