Que Huong Restaurant

Recently opened, Que Huong Restaurant along Ridley Grove is where you can enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. It was popular, there was a crowd of a good size when we visited.

Their Pho Xao is a nice spin on Pho, with the noodles stir-fried in a sauce based on Pho. The beef that we picked for the dish was not tough, and the vegetables retained their crunch. The rice noodles had a slight charred flavour, and the sauce had the flavour that we expected from Pho. A topping of Vietnamese mint imparted a hint of refreshing flavour. It was served quite hot so take some care when eating it.

Their Bun Dac Biet provided a delectable meal featuring roast pork, grilled chicken and spring rolls. The flesh of the pork was not tough, and the crisp crackling set it off nicely. Both the chicken and spring rolls were cooked just right. The exterior of the spring rolls had a nice crunch. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, and the dressing gave the dish a tangy flavour. We were able to have the vermicelli rice noodles substituted with extra vegetables.

The pork chops in their Com Suon (Pork Chop with Rice) had a delectable charred flavour, and the flesh was not dry. It was cut up slightly to simplify cutting the meat off the bones. The pickled vegetables were crunchy and not too tangy. Cucumber slices provided a fresh element. Served with the dish were a bowl of soup and nuoc chum dipping sauce.

The restaurant had a comfortable, casual feel. The car park in front provides convenient off-street parking for customers.
