We all have our favourites when it comes to Chinese food, be it honey chicken on rice or basic prawn crackers. However, some of us might not be aware that there are Chinese restaurants that specialise in particular dishes. If your favourite happens to be peking duck, then you're in luck. Poetry aside, the Quanjude is the place for you.

The Quanjude belongs to a franchise that started in China during the 1860s and this Melbourne restaurant is the first of its kind in Australia. Although Quanjude are the leading experts in peking duck preparation, the menu offers a whole range of other delicious favourites, including beef, vegetarian and seafood meals.

Please be advised that this restaurant is anything but cheap. Due to the popularity of Quanjude, bookings are recommended for lunchtime visits, despite the restaurant's vast seating capacity of 130 guests. Above all, dress nicely for the occasion.
