Celebrating all Australian native foods
quandong festival

On Saturday the 6th of August 2022, the inaugural Quandong Festival will be celebrating Australian native foods on Nukunu country. From 10am to 6pm, you will have the opportunity to explore ways to grow and use these unique bush tuckers.

The festival will feature a number of passionate leaders and thinkers in the industry. Renowned native food author Bruce Pascoe and wattleseed grower Angus Jones will be sharing some regenerative farming practices from their wealth of experience. Costa Georgiadis from ABC's Gardening Australia and River Cottage Australia's Paul West will be making an appearance on the day too.

Besides educational workshops, the festival will also feature a working bee as well as a quandong-themed lunch and dinner. Children will be kept occupied with activities capturing the fun of native food flavours and preparation.

Quorn has been chosen as the perfect location for this festival being in the heart of the Flinders Ranges. Please meet at the Quandong Cafe on 31 First Street. The festival is free for all to attend, however, tickets are required and can be obtained via their website.
