I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.
Taking place on Saturday October 26, the Quakers Hill Festival looks set to be a great day out for families. The event will run from 2pm till 8pm, at the Quakers Hill Commuter Car Park off Douglas Road.
A range of activities and entertainment will be on offer throughout the afternoon and into the evening. There will be food and market stalls, performances by local acts, workshops and blacksmithing demonstrations. Child-oriented activities will include rides (some free, and they will include a jumping castle), face painting and other kids activities.
If you like the sound of the festival, it's worth knowing that this is just one of the free, family events Blacktown City Council is hosting throughout October. Others to look out for include the Kings Langley Village Fair at Morgan Power Reserve and the Blacktown Pet Festival at Blacktown Showground, both on Sunday October 13.
