Founded in 2009, at the Gepps Cross Homemaker Centre complex is a good place to enjoy a decent range of cafe-style food. The cafe is notable for baking its breads and pastries on-premise.

Their Bacon & Egg Deluxe is the name the cafe gives to the Australian Big Breakfast, consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, hash browns and toast. The eggs fried sunny side up had lovely runny yolks and the sausage and bacon were cooked just right. Their hash browns had a lovely fluffy texture and tomatoes added an element of freshness. The mushrooms that we chose to add to the dish were done well with a delectable earthy taste enhanced by being fried in butter.



The Angus beef patty in the Bacon & Cheese Burger was done very well. It was very juicy with a good amount of char. Grilled onions and bacon complemented the beef patty well and the addition of beetroot provided a slightly sweet taste. The cafe's homemade sauce tied everything together. If you want to, you can add a glass of beef for only $2.



The apple filling in the Apple Strudel was not too sweet and the chunks of apple still retained a bit of bite. The filling also included raisins to provide a bit of extra sweetness. The pastry encasing the apples had a lovely flaky texture. It is advised to eat it slowly, to avoid scattering the icing sugar over yourself.



While the cafe is fairly small in size, the decor helped to give a casual and comfortable feel. Parking is not a problem with the complex the cafe is located on offering ample off-street parking. is a convenient place to take a break or get a meal in between shopping at the stores at the Homemaker Centre.
