I found at the very end of the cul-de-sac of Wolverhampton Street in Stafford while searching for an urgent cup of coffee on a windy Spring morning.

Established in 2014, is a wholesale and family operated coffee supply business which is passionate about sustainability and coffee. source coffee from producers that endorse Organic, Fair Trade Organic and Rainforest Alliance practices, or from estates which support sustainable agriculture. It is located in Stafford, 8 Kms from the CBD.

Is that a converted warehouse?
is housed in an industrial, tin shed (which formerly manufactured awnings). While being inviting and welcoming in its new life to both the serious and occasional coffee drinker, the shed has retained the authentic, raw grittiness of its former life.

A small amount of seating is available inside (including a long, dining table and bench next to the counter) but I chose to sit outside with pup who also enjoyed the view overlooking the green fields of the Kedron Brook bikeway. While my focus was on the coffee, his priority was getting his tiny paws onto the grass to run and play after we had finished.

The coffee was made with care and was worth making the trip to enjoy. Not only can you purchase a cup of brew but, at the right times, you can catch a glimpse and smell of the coffee roasting process on site. Take home varieties can be purchased in-store or online with a focus on beans sourced from Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, Columbia, Vietnam and Tanzania. Varieties include Finca, Hula, Waghi, Wikki, Decaf, and Single Origin.

What's on the Menu?
While the focus is clearly on coffee, also serve some light treats including bagels, fruit toast, uses Barambah Organics milk (more about which can be found at www.barambahorganics.com.au) as well as offering premium earth tea.

If you want to try your hand at brewing the perfect cup of coffee, stocks a range of brewing equipment for sale for both commercial businesses or use at home.

Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Maybe that it's family-owned makes a difference. Street parking is available but like the coffee, it is at a premium (particularly during the week) so get in early. Look out for the small yoga studio located next door at the back of the shop.
