Fun before a game at Suncorp
Since the Hyundai A-League football season started, my family and I are frequent visitors to the Suncorp Stadium to support the Roar. Last season, our pre-game activity involved going for a few drinks on Caxton Street - and if we'd won the game, we'd go back there for a few more drinks.

This season, however, we've started to play a few games of pool at Q-Masters. Looking at those pool tables takes me back to my uni days.

Q-Masters is located directly opposite Suncorp Stadium, on Castlemaine Street. With both a licensed bar and cafe, it is more than just a snooker and pool venue.

What I like about Q-Masters is its relaxed social environment. With 20 pool and snooker tables to choose from, we've had no problems getting a table. I think it's a great place to go with family as well as friends. With plasma screens, music playing, little outside smoking area, cheap drinks, good food, it's a great place to gather before Roar games.

[ADVERT]If you're a bit peckish, they have pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs and finger food to satisfy your needs. If you're a bit thirsty, they've got various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available.

I think it's a great place to go, not just before games, but also on weekends. We've been there when it was really busy and unlike pubs, it didn't feel crowded at all. Also, all ages are welcome. So next time, if you're looking for something to do before a game, try Q-Masters. They also have competitions, do functions and sell tables if you're interested. Just check out their website.
