I love to explore & share my experiences and photographs with others on the off-chance that they too get a buzz out of simple things at their own back door. My love of food led me to create www.homemadefood.com.au

In April 2016 customers and stallholders bid a fond farewell to what was a monthly institution. Going out with one last hoorah in the midst of cooking demonstrations by Award Winning Chef & Restaurateur, Mark Best, the Pyrmont Bay Harbour foreshore will once again be graced by foodies, food lovers, shoppers and providores.
Following a Media Launch on February 15th, with organisers, sponsors and stallholders in attendance, Saturday 25 February, 2017 will see the official re-launch of these monthly Markets with the new schedule of the fourth.Saturday of the month.
City-dwellers, tourists and visitors from across town, will once again be able to stock up for the week with farm-fresh produce, handmade chocolates and cakes, cookies & breads, fermented foods, cured meats, fresh flowers, olive oils, nuts & spices, relishes &preserves, fresh meat, poultry & game, exotic mushrooms, artisanal & gourmet goodies. It's a great place to pick up fresh goodies for your Saturday night dinner party and demonstrate your market-to-table prowess.

Opening with approximately 65 stalls, the Pyrmont Growers Market is set to grow over the year. Some of the stallholders will be familiar to regulars whilst new producers and providores will come on board. Some of these include:
o Australian Honey Cellars o Big Little Dairy o Black Star Pastry o Grima's Farm Fresh Produce
o Hunter Valley Cheese Factory
o Lithgow Free Range Meats
o Near River
Guest market stalls will also be a regular feature, and there are plans to introduce wine growers and merchants too.
Markets are a great place to reconnect with the simpler things in life. Bring the kids and dogs, and meet your friends for a coffee, an ice-cream or a meal from one of the stalls. There will be plenty of children's play areas and entertainment to keep everyone happy.
Located directly opposite the harbour-side entrance to The Star, and with views across Pyrmont Bay, The Pyrmont Growers Market is easily accessible by car, bus, light rail or ferry. Of course, locals will find it super-easy to stroll back to this familiar location.
