Picture this: it's the evening after you've had a few cheeky champers at your Melbourne Cup luncheon, and you're forced to stare at the abs of Liam Hemsworth. You're no princess, so you suck it up and take another sip of another champagne (aka hair of the dog) and nibble the complimentary canapés, because you need your strength for observing these majestic abs for a good charity.
The Pyjama Foundation's upcoming movie night promises all that and more, as they host a special 4th of November, 6pm screening of The Dress Maker starring Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth('s abs). I'm sorry. I shouldn't be objectifying him in this manner. I'm sure Liam does some fine acting work. Let's have a look at the preview…
People who love fashion, romance and good solid Aussie acting will enjoy The Dress Maker. Boasting a brilliant cast including greats Hugo Weaving and Judy Davis, Rebecca Gibney, Shane Jacobson and Barry Otto, plus wonderful costuming, and an engaging story The Dress Maker looks like it's going to be one of the best Aussie films we've seen in a long time. So what better way to unwind the day after Melbourne Cup?
Tickets are just $25 per person and all proceeds help The Pyjama Foundation raise much needed funds to support and educate kids in foster care. There are now 43,000 children in foster care in Australia and statistics show these children have statistically poorer literacy and numeracy levels among other issues which can lead to a lifetime of disadvantage. The Pyjama Foundation's founder Bronwyn Sheehan created a program to ease some of the burdens on foster carers and empower the children to have a brighter future.
Tickets are strictly limited so get in fast! Email
