Now the putt putt course at Albany Links is in a bit of disrepair. One of the kid's balls got stuck in a long pipe at one stage and took intervention from Dad to release it. Having said that the kids really enjoyed playing their 18 holes. It was also pretty good value with a game costing $8 per child including club and ball.
There was no queue when we were there on a Sunday afternoon and only a couple of other groups on the putt putt course. The holes are mostly not too challenging and it is a fairly basic set up compared to somewhere like Victoria Park. The two kids finished the round in about 20 minutes.
The best thing was that we got a free game for next time as one of the kids got a hole in one. What a great incentive.
The club also offers a 10 hole golf course complete with motorised cart hire. We decided that looked like a lot of fun and we might try it out next time. For details of this and other Queensland golf courses go to this website.
