Pushies Galore returns in 2012 with its second annual bicycle swap, shop, and show. Held on July 14 and 15 at the Holland Park Bowls Club (Holland Park), Pushies Galore offers cycling enthusiasts a chance to sell their bike, buy a new one, or show off their ride.


Show 'n' Shine is one of the highlights of Pushies Galore. Some of the categories include Road, Track, Cargo, Kids, Ladies, and Antique (pre 1920). The current bike trend, retro revival, is also covered with these categories: Cruisers, Vintage (post 1920), and Old School BMX. A new category this year is Made in BNE; bikes that have been built in Brisbane, like Llewellyns, Frezonis, and Rockets. You can register your bicycle on the day or on-line here .



The official opening of Pushies Galore takes place on Saturday, July 14 from 5pm. There will be a photography exhibition 'Frames', wood-fired pizza, craft beer, and special guests. Entry is $5.

Sunday, July 15, offers a full day of fantastic fun for the whole family. Kids can dress up their bikes for the Show 'n' Shine and bike parade. Mums and dads can enjoy a free game of barefoot bowls. Attendees can also check out the trade stalls, listen to live music, grab a bite to eat, or take part in the River City Rollers 500 metre one-on-one roller races . The fun begins at 10am. Entry is $2.



Holland Park Bowls Club is located on Abbotsleigh Street in Holland Park.
