It isn't always easy finding different vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, but Pure Simplicity Health Bar conveniently has you covered for all three dietary considerations, in the one location. Located in the backstreets of Mount Gravatt East on Brisbane's southside, Pure Simplicity is a hidden gem that will exceed your expectations, as well as motivate you to stay healthy - with healthy food and drinks this delicious, who needs junk food and processed drinks loaded with sugar?

Healthy lifestyle on your left!

Their business card doubles as a loyalty card - buy 9 drinks and get one regular sized drink free.
Healthy food doesn't always have to be boring - Pure Simplicity has a range of delicious all-day breakfast items which do not sacrifice health for taste. Try the lightly toasted breakfast burrito, with beans, tomato, grilled mushrooms, avocado, spinach and vegan aioli, with the option to add haloumi or tofu for just an additional $2. If you're feeling at a loss from all the choice, you can always fall back on the classic, heavily Instagrammed, Acai Bowl. Pure Simplicity has Original Acai Bowls (acai blended with banana and coconut water, topped with house granola and seasonal fruit) available, but for something extra special, you can opt for a specialised acai bowl, including Peanut Butter Fixation, Caramel Heaven, Coco Dream, and Cherry Bite.

I opted for the original acai bowl, which was delicious!
They also have an extensive drinks menu, including house blended smoothies with a wide variety of flavours - there's bound to be one that matches your palate. Children also have their own menu of smoothies with all the favourites available. Pure Simplicity also have Hrvst St cold pressed juices available, all with really unique and original names - Little Green, Blood Bank, Orange Sky, Ruby Tuesday, Endless Summer, and my personal favourite - Streets of Mexico. One of the ingredients in Streets of Mexico, true to its name, is jalapeno, which I thought was really interesting. Unfortunately, they were out of stock when I went, which is a sign of how popular it is with patrons of Pure Simplicity.

Since Streets of Mexico was not available, I ended up opting for a Pina Colada smoothie, which was blended from coconut water, mango, banana, pineapple, and coconut shreds. My friend opted for a Ruby Tuesday Harvst St cold pressed juice, which had watermelon, pear, pink lady apple, rhubarb, and lime. Both drinks were refreshing, and was the perfect companion to complement a hot spring day, which felt more like summer.

Pure Simplicity also has heaps of premade snacks that are available for purchase, depending on availability and until sold out. These can be viewed in the glass display cabinet below the counter. On the day I went, their selection included protein balls (coconut rough, peanut butter), chia parfait cups, all-natural vegan cupcakes from
Cloverly Cupcakes, and aesthetically pleasing
Raw Lovely Two treats, which are gluten and refined sugar free - it's guilt free!

Not much choice left as I went quite late in the day - a testament as to how good they are!

Although we opted to sit outside due to having Eddy with us, the indoor seating area is simplistic, with an overall serene ambience. With wooden planks as walls, it's hard to not feel at one with nature, which matches the fact that Pure Simplicity is a health bar, with only healthy (yet still tasty) food and drinks. P.S. They also have display
fourzero. threads items at the back!

I'd sit here for ages if I could.

We had a fabulous time at Pure Simplicity Health Bar - food was delicious without any guilt involved, service was quick, and the staff were friendly. I also appreciated how a bowl of water was provided for the dogs, especially now that the weather is getting warmer. Thanks for having Eddy and I, we look forward to visiting you guys again soon, to make progress on our rewards card!

Thanks for the bowl of water, Pure Simplicity!
