Just across Clayton station on 143 Carinish Road is , a small, simple, bland looking restaurant with a decent sized menu. The service can feel a little lagged at times, but that's probably due to the few staff members around.

With the drawbacks aside, is actually student-price friendly, with a chana meal special for $6.00 being very generous in serving size If you are a university student around Clayton, tight on budget but looking for a place to eat some affordable Indian food, is the place to be.

Don't be fooled by the unappealing aesthetic; as you frequent the restaurant, the more you appreciate its ever-improving service (though at times, it feels improvement comes along slow) and food that not only suits the student budget but also the student appetite. The thali's in particular are one you must try. Two people can actually share this, it's that generous (and tasty).

One good thing is that this place always seems to have a table or two free even after 5.00pm, which means one can visit this spot for dinner after classes or work, generally speaking. I highly recommend a visit to this place. There's no music, Bollywood or otherwise, in the background which makes a good atmosphere for a casual meet-up and chat with friends.
