A BMX pump track is a looping trail that can be ridden with little or no pedalling. Riders maintain movement by "pumping" the terrain transitions of the track.
Pump tracks are also gaining popularity with riders of scooters and skateboards. There are currently six designated pump tracks in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
Bracken Ridge BMX Park
552 Telegraph Road, Bracken Ridge
The Bracken Ridge BMX Park offers one of the largest pump tracks in Australia. Specifically, riders of all abilities can enjoy 640m of competition-grade asphalt tracks.
Monier Road Park BMX Track
58 Monier Rd, Darra
This BMX pump track features two loops - each with entry-level, intermediate, and advanced runs.
DM Henderson Park
43 McCullough Street, Macgregor
DM Henderson Park features a well-maintained BMX pump track, suitable for beginner to intermediate riders.
PCYC Tudor Park
Clarks Road, Loganholme
Riders of bikes, scooters and skateboards are welcome to enjoy the small but functional pump track. The area is well shaded and can easily be supervised by accompanying parents or carers (BYO camping chair or picnic blanket).
Centenary Plains BMX Club and Pump Track
Waller Road, Browns Plains
In addition to a competition standard BMX racing track and clubhouse, this site is home to a pump track. Although it is rather small in size, it offers tight transitions of substantial height.
Meakin Park Pump Track
160 Meakin Rd, Slacks Creek
This relatively small pump track is fun for riders of all abilities. It is particularly ideal for beginner riders, with low and well-spaced out inclines.
