Visit the Puma Outlet in Moorabbin for wall-to-wall bargains on sports and lifestyle gear.
The store is divided into two sections; shoes and clothing. The shoe section is confusing- all of those red shoeboxes and no signage in sight. The only way I could tell that I had wandered out of the ladies' section and into the children's section was that suddenly the shoes looked a little small. The shoes are neatly set out, so at least you don't have to sift through bargain bins. They have a reasonable size range with less stock of more popular shoe sizes, sadly for the size eights among us.

The clothing section is further divided into men's and women's clothing. Most of the women's clothing consisted of lifestyle items such as tee shirts and fleecy jumpers, all with prominent Puma branding. There was still quite a bit of sportswear, it was just a struggle to find it. Children's clothes racks are not clearly marked, with some items seeming suspiciously small.

When I went, they were having a 50% off everything sale. Some items were even 60% off. Most shoe boxes had 40% - 50% off tags on them, so their regular pricing is still quite a bargain. It may be previous season stock, but it's not like sportswear is meant to be trendy.
Despite being an outlet store, there are ample staff in the shop who are all too happy to assist. I went in needing a pair of runners, and left a happy customer with a pair suited to my needs. The shop assistant did not show it if he was annoyed by my endless questions and insistence that there must be a cuter pair of runners. Once I settled on the least ugly pair of runners that would do the job, he was happy to hold the shoes at the counter for me so I didn't have to awkwardly carry the box while perusing the rest of the store. Service at the counter was speedy, despite the many customers.
The Puma Factory Outlet may be in the middle of nowhere are far as shopping prospects are concerned, but it's definitely worth the trip. Highly recommended for all your sportswear needs, without the premium prices.
