A Wonderful Stay at Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour

My recent move to Sydney brought with it the excitement of discovering a new city and the need to navigate through various aspects of relocation. Among the tasks on my checklist was completing the mandatory stage two of the Working with Children Check with Service NSW. During this period of transition, I had the pleasure of staying at Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour a choice that unexpectedly enhanced my Sydney experience.

It's worth mentioning that my initial accommodation booking was unintentionally made at Pullman Hyde Park, which is located about 20 minutes away from Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour. This oversight served as a valuable lesson in careful booking, so I recommend double-checking the location when making reservations. Thankfully, I had chosen a room at Accor Group Hyde Park with free cancellation, allowing for flexibility.

During my stay, David stood out as a highlight. He welcomed me at the front desk with a warm demeanour and a wealth of local knowledge. David's insights about Sydney not only made my stay more enjoyable but also assisted me in making informed decisions regarding my relocation. One of my primary goals was to be in close proximity to the city's attractions, and Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour far exceeded my expectations in this regard, not to mention the view and menu at Breakfast time.

I had selected a suite that offered stunning views of Hyde Park, and I must admit that the sights during both morning and evening were truly breathtaking. What's remarkable is that despite its central location, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil setting, providing a peaceful retreat from Sydney's bustling urban life.

The suite itself was elegantly furnished, complete with a spa and all the amenities one would expect in a home away from home. While the experience was excellent, I couldn't help but think that the addition of bath salts or a Bathroom Menu Bar could have elevated the luxury factor.

After a long day of handling paperwork and property inspections, I indulged myself with offerings from the mini-bar and room service. The huge selection of options was diverse and satisfying, further enhancing the overall convenience of my stay, including pod coffee!

In summary, my time at Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour was characterised by convenience and comfort, despite my initial booking mix-up. The hotel's prime location, serene atmosphere, and well-appointed accommodations contributed to a memorable visit.

However, a couple of minor details are worth mentioning. I have allergies to Penicillin and sulphites, which made ordering room service items like cheeses and fruits a bit challenging due to language barriers. It required some patience and several attempts over the phone and in person to effectively communicate my allergies.

Additionally, while enjoying the spa with a bottle of wine from the Mini Bar and a cheese platter was a delightful experience, I was surprised by the $100 price tag on the wine. Although it was of exceptional quality, the cost was unexpected.

On a positive note, the hotel staff, particularly David, went above and beyond in providing local information and assisting me with my transition to Sydney. My mornings often began with a picturesque walk around the harbour, where I could take in Sydney's iconic landmarks, including the Opera House and Hyde Park Gardens. The hotel's breakfast overlooking the harbour was a lovely way to start the day. Additionally, the proximity to the Weekend Rocks Markets and the Circular Quay metro, right at the doorstep, made exploring the city incredibly convenient.

Pullman Circular Quay Close to Sydney Famous Landmarks

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour for a memorable and convenient stay in Sydney. Despite the minor hiccups related to food orders and unexpected costs, the exceptional service and prime location make it a top choice for travelers. For reference, my stay was the 3 August 2023
