The play itself is full of nostalgic and dances along the line of any copyright infringing issues with a playful wink and a nudge. The whole cast is energetic, sharp and hilarious, throwing references left and right from everything from the movies, wizarding sex ed classes to books to even a few Australian cities. Directed to an expert level by Lauren McKenna, who was pulling double duty as one of its fabulous cast, the entire play had the audience laughing through every scene. There's also a special shout out to just how good the practical effects are as they managed to pull out some spectacular sights over the course of the show.
While the play is finishing its run on the 29th of September, the night sessions are more adult-friendly and the morning and midday sessions are kid-friendly for those with tiny witches and wizards. So take the chance while you have it to slip on a robe, grab a wand and prepare to step back into the world of the "The Puffs, Braves, Smarts and Snakes".
