Because public visual art does not always just mean graffiti
PUBLIC House is a two-day festival that will be hosted on Wolf Lane in Perth's CBD, home to a variety of small bars. This outdoor event is held on the evenings of Friday 11th April from 6pm to 11pm and Saturday 12th April between 4pm and 11pm.
As a celebration of visual arts and culture, this festival brings forth the talents of well-known street artists from all across the world, who will together transform the laneway into an outdoor art gallery. The space will come alive with hawker markets, local music and entertainment, pop-ups and installations, as well as the usual lively venues and bars holding their own activities for the festival.
Watch as local artists add their own spin to everyday spaces by creating artwork and design installations while chilling out to the tunes of DJs and choosing between many food and beverage retailers.
PUBLIC House is part of PUBLIC, a larger multi-year project by Form that celebrates and brings together creativity and urban art in Perth, where its city walls and laneways will be transformed with creative installations, street art, murals, projections and events. PUBLIC is set to be launched in April, beginning with Art in the City - a 9 day period from the 5th-13th of April in which the streets will come alive with large-scale artwork being created by some of the world's famous urban artists. Blank walls will be the canvasses for more than 40 international artists to unleash their talent and make Perth's CBD a more colourful and vibrant place to be.
