Grab your backstage pass and get amongst the excitement and energy of the pub rock scene at the
Pub Rock exhibition. It's on display at the
National Portrait Gallery until 14 March, 2021.
The exhibition draws largely from the National Portrait Gallery's collection and features works from leading photographers, including
Tony Mott,
Bob King,
Stu Spence and
Wendy McDougall.
Featuring various publicity images, portraits, live shots and behind the scenes photographs of
The Easybeats,
Little Pattie and Johnny O'Keefe,
AC/DC,
INXS,
Nick Cave and
Kylie Minogue.
It also explores the activism in the music of
Midnight Oil,
Paul Kelly and
Yothu Yindi and highlights the strength of women in a traditionally male-dominated scene. Also featured are hard rock bands of
Cold Chisel,
The Angels and
Rose Tattoo.

here . In response to COVID-19, the National Portrait Gallery has introduced protocols to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of visitors, staff and volunteers at the exhibition.
