This years Adelaide Fringe brought international TV mentalist Phoenix down to SA.
Phoenix is well known for his performances on TV, and he has performed and trained across locations including Las Vegas. He got his start at age 8 with studies of psychological mind-reading. His show
'Psyche' was airing at Gluttony as part of The Adelaide Fringe until February 22nd.
His final show saw a packed house of eager fans waiting for his arrival and when he did, he didn't disappoint. Phoenix uses psychological tricks, body language reading, & lie detection to influence audience members' minds without them knowing it. His show included asking an audience member to write a random word on a piece of paper and then asking her to tell him five unrelated words, from which he was then able to identify her chosen word.
He also rang a random number from the phone book and asked the lady on the other end if she would mind being part of the show. He then borrowed $50 from a different audience member and asked the lady on the phone to pretend she was playing bingo and give him eight numbers. Without knowing it she had given the exact serial number of the $50.
His mind-trickery is amazing and leaves fans stunned and wanting more. His finale is literally breathtaking and has to be seen to be believed. His hour long show just isn't long enough and fans cheered as it came to an end, some even stuck around another 75mins just to see what his next show, 'Mind Games', had in store for them.
