Simple, high quality Italian food
You know that you like a new place when you visit twice within two weeks! The place which has captured my attention is P'sghetti, one of the new kids on the block. Located in No Name lane, in the city west, this restaurant is very small, the kitchen is tiny and there are only a couple of tables. What this restaurant lacks in space, it makes up in its food!

On my first visit to P'sghetti, I had reviewed the menu before I arrived and had selected a dish as I'm notorious for being paralysed by choice and taking ages to make a decision. So I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted to order, but that all went out the door when I walked through the door and saw the specials above the cash register. I saw that they had homemade Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli with Marinara sauce as a special, so naturally, that's what I ordered!

The food came quickly and it didn't hold back on flavour. The marinara sauce, while simple, was delicious and highlighted the tangy tomato. It matched beautifully to the ricotta and spinach filling of the ravioli, which was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the pasta and at $14 for a bowl - I knew I would be returning as it's excellent value for money!

Garlic bread and spaghetti with meatballs

On my second visit, my partner ordered the spaghetti and meatballs along with garlic bread, which I of course had to try. The garlic bread is made with sourdough bread and lots of garlicky butter. This made the bread easy to pull apart and enjoy!

Alfredo pasta and insalata caprese

Along with enjoying some garlic bread, I had the Insalata Caprese and the Alfredo sauce with pappardelle pasta. The salad was delicious, the basil was fresh and fragrant, the mozzarella was creamy and the tomatoes were a little tangy. I will be returning just to have the salad again! The creamy Alfredo pasta then worked perfectly with the salad, and they both complemented each other so well!
