Pron Prohm has been bringing the taste of Thailand to Concord for 31 years. Owner Dilok Thamrak has embodied the essence of 'Prohm', an ancient Hindu creation god, and recreated elements of teak Thai homes to enhance your dining experience.

Expect tasty traditional Thai treats. I'm talking all of the family favourites like Satay Chicken, Green Curry, stir fries, etc. These are all made with fresh ingredients, are nicely presented, and are full of flavour.

We got to sample many of our Thai favourites by ordering the Kings Banquet valued at $30/head. This provided ample food for five people. Banquets differ by $6, with the dearest being the Signature Set ($36/head), which includes dessert to top off a greater variety in starter and main dishes.

The Kings entree featured the likes of Chicken Satay Skewers - flavoursome and enhanced by peanut sauce as per tradition. The Fish Cakes included a spicy kick and a delicious tangy condiment, while good old sweet-chilli sauce is there for your Spring Roll double-dipping. The unique touch of sweet potato in the Curry Puffs was enjoyed as contrast to the spices.

Mains had an assortment of sweet and spicy aromas. Fresh steamed rice was served from a silver pot with a smile. The staff were all very hospitable and regularly checked in to ensure rice needs were met. Then, first to hit the table was an all time favourite: green curry. Fresh vegetables and pieces of chicken coated in sauce were savoured - every mouthful!

Our tastebuds were also dazzled by the three stir fry dishes that were a part of this banquet. My favourite was the Stir Fried Chicken with Cashew Nut, that was topped with chilli jam. The striking flavours of the combined chicken, nut, and vegetable ingredients cumulated into a sauce that went all too well with the bed of rice before me.

The Prawn Stir Fry with sweet snow peas had a flavour reminiscent of Chinese cuisine. Despite not being big on fish, I thoroughly enjoyed the Crispy Fried Fish with chilli and basil. The sauce had an explosion of these flavours. Lastly among the mains was a fresh Thai Beef Salad that also packed a kick and had minty freshness.

Dessert wasn't included in this banquet but we decided to give their sweets a taste anyway. We all went for the Deep Fried ice-cream (with your choice of sauce to top it off). A wafer-like batter formed a shell around the ice-cream, which might I emphasise, came in a very generous portion.

Overall, we left very satisfied. Our tummies and tastebuds had received a sensational fix of Thai flavours and spices in this cosy Concord cabana.
