Project 5 artist creation displayed in Darling Quarter
Art can be an elusive concept and an intriguing idea to many, however the opportunity to watch artists create, think & paint provides an opportunity to all to be a part of the process of the work's creation. Set in the premises of Darling Quarter the opening night saw artists create art under the stars in the free open air studio and a live audience. The atmosphere was transformed by the music from Future Classic DJs.
The artists participating include Adnate, a graffiti and street-art artist from Melbourne. Widely known for his Mural art, Adnate is also known for his use of spray paint. His work at Project 5 depicted his realistic style in mural art.
Jodee Knowles, an artist from Perth, has a different style of art. Her depiction of emotions with bold and vivid colours and the detail of the eyes she drew kept the audience guessing what the artwork would be. Jodee has found herself new fans (apart from PINK) in the audience.
Artists Numskull and Rone were also among the artists who participated in the live event. (Ty)Rone is also a Melbourne based street artist who started off decorating skate parks and the inner laneways of Melbourne.
As a first, Project 5's fifth edition also features a month long free public art exhibition of the artist's work in aMBUSH Gallery and Darling Quarter's pop-up exhibition space. The works created as part of this event will be auctioned on 17 October in a charity event.
