Handmade decorations are loved the most
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas which means it's time to start on all those festive decorations and projects for the year. At Annerley Community Hub, you can learn to print while you chat with other fun new friends and a portion of your ticket price goes towards keeping the Hub humming along.
You will take everyday objects including leaves, feathers, other "found" materials and paper cut outs to print with a pasta machine and turn these prints in to unique bunting to brighten up your home.
You will get to know how to transfer the beautiful rich detail of the objects to paper. Once you know the technique you can also make original one-of-a -kind prints for your walls, cards and other craft projects.
Renate from renate and the ant house will be your instructor. She has been printing in Brisbane for 5 years. In the Netherlands she led a team of print artists to making a world record lino print. She has been teaching workshops at her Ant House and at Bowerbird.
Annerley Community Hub looks after the most marginalised members of our society and the space is inviting and a soft entry point for those needing help finding services and support. They look after refugees, homeless, those with mental health issues and all members of the community.
