Midweek dining out last week found us in Clayfield at the along Sandgate road. Thai is one of our favourite cuisines and we enjoyed the night out with our grown children.

is authentically "Thai" with very warm and cosy decorations and atmosphere.

Being mid-week, we were able to find a table for 6 easily and were welcomed by the friendly and accommodating staff. The waitresses were all in colourful Thai-inspired outfits and the decor was also evidently Thai-inspired with water fountains, statues of elephants and Thai ornaments.

But how was the food? The menu included all the usual favourites of curries, stir-fries, noodles and a unique selection of Chef's specialities.

We were able to choose from a variety of dishes and these were shared and enjoyed by all.

Some of the choices included Roasted Duck Salad for $19.90 (roasted duck cooked with special sauce, fresh chilli, shallots, coriander, strawberry and orange).

Duck yellow curry ($19.90) which is a mild curry with coconut milk, potatoes and onion, and BBQ Chicken ($15.90). We also had a vegetarian dish of stir-fry vegetables with tofu and chilli and garlic ($13.90) and something a little different, Soft shell crab ($18.90)

All served with a serving of rice each and there was more than plenty to share and enjoy.

Princess Thai is licenced and have a selection of local and imported beer and wines.

Parking is out the front and they also do take away for those who prefer to enjoy a night in.
