Love to know how Royalty REALLY lived?
See for yourself, at the Art Gallery of WA's 'Princely Treasures' exhibition from September 24th to January 9th 2012.
From the
Victoria and Albert Museum in London - one of the greatest museums in the world - you can now get a first-hand look at the treasures, swords and statues that once belonged to real European royalty.
Other treasures include artworks, old weapons and armour, goblets, furniture, instruments, clothing and hairstyles of Europe's most wealthy and powerful people from 1600 and 1800.
This is a rare opportunity to take a glimpse at what life was like for Royalty in Paris, Madrid, Vienna, Prague and London almost three centuries ago.
You may even learn a few interesting facts. For example, did you know everyone in the 17th century took their own knife and fork with them everywhere they went?
For youngsters there is a dedicated kids area complete with its own palace and a range of activities - including the chance for them to make their own crown, tiara or treasure chest. The best part is - it's free to participate.
With every children's ticket sold (accompanied by an adult) you'll also receive a Guidebook for Princes and Princesses, with facts and questions they can find answers to on the 'Princely Treasures Children's Trail'.
The spectacular 'Princely Treasures' collection will be on display at the Art Gallery of WA from September 24th to January 9th 2012.
