Opened this year, it has become a resounding success. I became aware of it via a posting on a Facebook page that advertises garage sales, etc in the local area. From such word of mouth advertising, it has become an exceedingly busy shop. This despite it being located at the bottom of McRoyle Street, Wacol, a no through road with no 'passing' trade. The first time, I frequented the shop, there must have been a good 20 people there, with many seeming to be stocking up the freezer. Now, for me, it has become my place to buy beef short ribs and other meats for the BBQ. Indeed, it is amazing the savings that can be made when buying straight from the supplier.
The shop is located in Wacol, immediately across the road from the factory, which itself was only completed in 2011-12. The company is a local Brisbane company that was started by Hans Van der Drift, a Dutch immigrant to Queensland, in 1960. Primo Smallgoods Pty Ltd acquired the Hans enterprise in 2009.
