PRIMA (Pine Rivers Musical Association) proudly presents their first production for 2013, The 60s - Theatre Restaurant, this May.
In past years, PRIMA, has performed a wide range of musical theatre classics, including Annie, Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Oliver!, and with their latest production, The 60's Theatre Restaurant, the rising theatre company continues their great reputation for providing quality musical theatre in the suburbs.
Running for a strictly limited season, this forthcoming cabaret style production will feature renditions of no less than forty-seven 1960s hits - including memorable songs such as 'Return to Sender', 'Beyond the Sea', 'Calendar Girl', 'Be My Baby' and 'Rescue Me'.
This exciting production will feature a cast of talented PRIMA performers including Mal Christian, who played Judas in PRIMA's 2012 production of Jesus Christ Superstar, Michelle Stocks, a member of local cover group, More than Idol Gossip, alongside fellow PRIMA members Douglas Buchannan and Cameron Patterson, and Michael Forman, who portrayed Fagin in PRIMA's 2012 production of Oliver. Musical direction will be shared by Cameron Patterson and Mark Beilby, with choreography by Alena Roos.
This family friendly production, full of colourful costumes and infectious energy, is sure to have the audience singing along to the great hits of yesteryear. Patrons will also be served a two course meal and dessert and have the chance to win some great prizes.
The 60's Theatre Restaurant will run from May 10th to 24th on selected evenings at the Holy Spirit Parish Hall in Bray Park - session details are as follows; Friday, May 10th - 7.30pm Saturday, May 11th 7.30pm
