PRIDE is based on a true story of miners in the Dulais valley in South Wales during the 1984-85 strike - the longest in British history. With a loss of over 70,000 jobs, a group of lesbian and gay activists raise money to help families affected by the strike. This was what would become the beginning of the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign. Two diverse groups of people meet and lives would change forever.
