Did you know falls are the leading cause of hospitalized injuries in Australia? The good news is that targeted exercise can significantly lower your falls risk. At this event, we’ll outline the impact of exercise on proprioception (our awareness of how we move and position our body), and we’ll detail how participants in CCA’s real-world Falls Prevention pilot study conducted during 2024 reduced their anxiety by more than 50% in the first four weeks of the program.
Join leading exercise physiologist Katie Stewart, and pharmacist Jason Chew, as they show you how to regain and maintain your steadiness and confidence with movement, and by reviewing your medications where appropriate with a home medication review (HMR).
WHEN:
WHERE: Chronic Care Australia, Cottesloe Medical Centre, 525 Stirling Hwy, Cottesloe.
(please arrive and take your seat by 5.15pm in advance of the 5.30pm start).
