Stroll along this beautiful river
If you are passing through the pretty town of Donnybrook, (two hours sourh of Perth) on the South West Highway, it is worthwhile to stop here and take a walk by the river.

The Preston River Walk Trail is an easy paved walk trail loop that travels along both sides of the Preston River right in the middle of the town. It was created to lead walkers from the main street down to the river and to follow an interpretative story of the Dreamtime.

This trail is just under 2 kilometres long and should take 45 minutes to complete the circuit. Along the way, there is information on the six Noongar seasons as well as plant and animal life in the area.

The trail also allows you to walk over a suspension bridge and to read more information on the grassy side of the river. Part of the trail is shady as you stroll back towards Donnybrook townsite.

This trail is suitable for prams and wheelchairs.
