Who wants a bit of hot and spicy in their lives? If you're a fan, head to Hot & Spicy Food Day at Preston Market, 30 The Centreway, Preston on Thursday 27 February 2020 from 8am to 6pm. Patrick from Spice Bazaar has a world of knowledge under his belt when it comes to hot and spicy food.
He'll be showing you how to cook a spicy dish using fresh ingredients from the market traders and will explain the steps to perfecting your hot & spicy dinners. Watch out as he may well single you out to be the assistant cook on the day. Tastings of the finished dishes are on offer too.
There'll be a lot of action on the Centre Stage with cooking classes running in 2 sessions. The first session is from 12pm to 1pm and the second from 1.45pm to 2.45pm. The first session has a Moroccan and Middle Eastern theme with Moroccan Chicken Tangine with ras el hanout spice, walnuts and pomegranate molasses, Tunisian cous cous with pine nuts, currants and baby spinach spicy Moroccan harissa paste.
The second session is a Malaysian Theme and has Malaysian chicken curry with Malaysian spices, lemongrass galagal kaffir lime and chilli with mint, snake bean and kang kung rice vermicelli accompaniments.
Get involved on the day and have a taste of what's cooking. For those who take their culinary adventure to the extreme on a heat-seeking mission, traders will be on hand with many hot and spicy offers and specials.
