From Wednesday until Saturday there are bargains galore.
Fresh fruit and vegetables sell at cheaper prices than in supermarkets throughout the state.
Alternatively, you can buy a packet of sweetened and dried fruits at a corner stall, located opposite a coffee-making kiosk that also sells lottery tickets.
Deli meats and specialty foods from Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, in fact anywhere, are sold in the Deli section where cheeses, jarred tomatoes, fruits and jams are on display for one and all to buy.
Clothes, stationery equipment, shoes, cooking utensils and cleaning products are all sold and if you are tired after all that bargain hunting then there is a coffee shop or three to sit down while you sip a much needed cup of coffee.
Keep a smile on your face as you squish through the jumble of people crowding-in for their last-minute shopping on a Saturday afternoon as the minutes tick towards the 3pm closing time.
Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays are the days that the Preston Markets are closed.
Yes I just love Preston Market!!!! We live just a stone throw away from the Market so we get fresh food every week. Love the variety of fruits and vegetables, the seafood and all sorts of meats from different cuts. You should come at the Market from Wednesday to Saturday every week. :)
