The Preston Market is a hive of activity Wednesday through Saturday, whether it is people doing their weekly shop, individuals out for a bargain or like myself, you just wanted an awesome coffee, some people watching and a deliciously naughty hot jam doughnut.

The Preston Market is continently located right near Preston Station for those who don't want to have to fight for a car park. For those who prefer to arrive on their own 4 wheels, then there is a multitude of parking available at the market and in near streets.

Fresh food and veggies are cheap and of amazing quality, with more variety and choice than in your local supermarket, including an Asian food store and Delis that sell speciality foods.

But there is more than food at the Preston Market. Toys, shoes, clothes, amazing flowers, stationary, artwork and lots of socks can be found at bargain prices.

Before you leave you must stop at one of the three Coffee shops, dumpling stands and the amazing hot jam doughnut van for something delicious to eat.

The main reason I will be doing my shopping at the Preston Market from now on is the atmosphere with friendly store owners, bustling customers and great coffee - there is no way I would rather spend a Saturday morning.

Must be the only fresh food market in the world where photography is not allowed. Went in with my camera and soon as I tried to take some pics, a security guard came over and pointed me to the sign at the entrance which explicitly says no photography allowed! What are they hiding? Won't be going back there.

There is lot's of parking, but be very careful, it is a pay and display within the market grounds and the surrounding street have a time limit. Not worth getting a bargain, then getting a parking ticket, much easier to catch the train.
