The Werribee Dog Obedience Club

Look no further for a off-leash big day out with your pooch. Here's a spot where human and dog can spend all day and night gallivanting without a care. Presidents Park in Wyndham is a massive multipurpose park in Melbourne's new west that runs along the Werribee river.

Duck Pond

Consisting of a dog obedience training centre east of the river, a duck pond in the middle, rolling fields as far as the eyes can see, a creek that runs along its side, kids playgrounds (featuring three wave slides, tunnel slide, straight slide), bbq pits, sheltered tables, cricket fields, hockey pitches and the like this park is a great location for a family day celebrating the great outdoors.

The fenced up cricket/footy ovals are great for a spot of fetch training. There's very little shade here so come prepared! Having said that, the kids play area is pretty well shaded. The rest of the park is not.

Presidents Park is a 35 min drive from Melbourne CBD. It is also the venue of RSPCA's Million Paws Walk in May each year. Click here to check it out
