The
SUBSTATION is a not-for-profit multi arts centre located in a 100-year-old repurposed, industrial building in Newport, Victoria. While their venue remains closed in COVID-19 times, they continue to create opportunities for artists to provide audiences with experiences in contemporary art.
To that end, they've created
In Focus, a new online experience. A multi-faceted presentation of interviews, screenings and premieres of select work gives the audience an intimate and authentic connection to the artists. The
first artist In Focus is
Henry Jock Walker . This is a one-off premiere hosted via
YouTube and will only be available for streaming for a limited time on
Thursday 21 May 2020 from 8-8.30pm. Stay in touch on the

Kintsugi Supermarket at
The SUBSTATION . Follow the making of the supermarket in an interactive studio installation and performance lead by Nampei Akaki (Japan) and Henry (Australia).

On the same day from 2-3pm, The SUBSTATION's Artistic Director Brad Spolding meets Henry Jock Walker
IN CONVERSATION to discuss his background, practice and recent work, including his Kintsugi Supermarket collaborative exhibition with Nampei Akaki.
