%%Two expectant parents bask in their waterfront cottage, surrounded by dolphins, koalas and island birds, while other parents-to-be take a relaxing stroll along the beach.

Other expecting couples sit mesmerised by the magic of Amity's sunset, while another couple, also awaiting the birth of their child, top up the tank of precious sleep.%%

Introducing Queensland's first and only Pregnancy Retreat!*

This May, treat yourself and your partner to a weekend of yoga, relaxation and exploration on North Stradbroke Island.

Decades of experience in Pre-Natal Education, Naturopathy, Yoga Therapy, Acupuncture & Wholefood Nutrition have inspired the One Natural Therapies team to develop the '', which offers expectant couples a relaxed and focused environment to learn what it takes to make a healthy baby and still be sane parents!

Importantly there are no parenting philosophies or quick-fix sleep-solutions, rather this weekend retreat is about preventative and pro-active ways to sustain balance during what can become a very busy change of life.

Over three luxurious days (from 16 to 18 May 2014), couples are invited to stay at the Sea Shanties and indulge a range of activities specifically designed to allow the parents-to-be to breath, relax, eat well and enjoy one another's company.

This special weekend is all-inclusive:
  • Breakfast, lunch & dinner daily (all fresh, locally-sourced & vegetarian)
  • Cabins for two by the sea
  • Two yoga sessions a day, including deep relaxation & active birth yoga
  • Self- & Partner-care, including pressure points & massage
  • Cooking class, including post natal nutrition with Naturopath & Wholefood Nutritionist
  • Secluded beach and forest within walking distance

  • Plus you'll have a chance to make your pregnancy a healthy one and learn techniques from a complimentary team of practitioners dedicated to an integrative approach to healing and wellbeing.

The retreat location itself is set against a backdrop of golden sands and magical sunsets and is surrounded by friendly dolphins, koalas and birds. And with a baby on the way, this might be your only chance to enjoy a romantic weekend escape with your partner!

    Testimonials:
"I found that I could go into a session with my mind cluttered up, and I could leave invigorated and clearer of mind. The breathing techniques now enable me to refocus on the most important things I want to achieve in the day, and remove the trivial issues that may have been taking my concentration.".

"It was wonderful to be amongst like-minded people who were willing to take a journey in order to better themselves as well as positively enhancing the experience for others."

"The setting on Stradbroke Island was idyllic and the food was amazing. We were also treated to cooking lessons, which focused on the medicinal aspect of food and how we could incorporate this knowledge into our daily cooking/eating habits."
