The Precinct Tavern on The Waterfront

The Precinct Tavern, affectionately known by locals as The Precinct, is another upmarket Darwin watering hole worth visiting if you in the Top End escaping the cool temperatures of the southern winters. Located at 7 Kitchener Drive and a five minute walk from the Smith Street Mall this venue fringes the waterfront.
Popular with both locals and tourists, The Precinct overlooks the popular parklands, wave pool, and Exhibition Centre and is therefore always bustling.
As well as providing a break from the heat of the tropical sun The Precinct offers over forty craft beers and ciders on tap. The food is upmarket pub food with special menus menus for the kiddies. The Squeeze and I shared a pizza: green Thai curry base, chicken, cherry tomatoes, corn and mozzarella cheese for $22.00.
The day clientele is more casual with families coming direct from the pool and parklands activities to lunch. Again, great customer service and a relaxed venue in the heat of the day with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Evenings at The Precinct provide an opportunity to dress up, Darwin style (which seems to mean that thongs are acceptable footwear), and refuel with friends and family. There are also trivia and musical bingo nights which you can refer to
here .
Add this one to your To Do List even if it is only to sit on an orange juice on the terrace and watch the world at play in the parklands.
