The annual Halloween stand up paddle boarding (SUP) parade is upon us again. This is where all Witches, Warlocks and Wizards come together to take part in a Halloween themed parade on the Swan River.

The coven will assemble at the Maylands Yacht Club at 4.30pm for take off at 5pm sharp on Saturday 27 October 2018. Their travels take them to Claisbrook Cove via Optus Stadium and Matagarup Bridge before returning to Bardon Park, next to Maylands Yacht Club.

The parade will cover approximately 6 kms and will take around 90 minutes, allowing for stops, antics and magic along the way. Halloween dress code is mandatory as is lots of cackling and good fun.

Everyone is welcome (including dogs) at Bardon Park, where pizza and snacks will be available at Annies Woodfire Pizza Van, so spectators and paddlers can enjoy supper and chatter as the city lights come ablaze after a spellbinding SUP parade. Remember the Halloween dress code for all!

Maree, owner of Suptonic, said "It'll be an amazing spectacle for bystanders as a coven of witches paddle past on the Swan River."

So if you don't fancy actually SUPing, line the shoreline of the route to witness this epic annual event or meet at Bardon Park for supper and stories around the cauldron.

If you would like to hire a board, it will be $25 and $15 if you have your own board. Click here to book now. SUP experience is necessary to take part.

Broomstick (and car) parking is available at Bardon Park and the yacht club.

The event may be subject to rescheduling or cancellation if weather conditions are unsuitable.

Keep up to date with news by registering your interest on the event on their Facebook page.

Abracadabra, as if by magic, you will have had a magical, spooky, fun evening out!
