If you've not been to 'Power to the Pixel', now is the time. as it concludes on 17 Feb 2019. Head to Brisbane Powerhouse's Visy Foyer / Exhibition Spaces at 119 Lamington St, New Farm, to catch the rest of the exhibition that runs every day from 9am to 5pm.
Power to the Pixel' is a visual art exhibition that highlights a nostalgic art style inspired by retro games and technology. In contrast with our digitally advanced world, it brings those small details into focus. Showcasing some of the best pixel artists in the world, it features works that explore unique realms and characters in the varying styles of pixel art. Get up close and see every pixel, or step back and see the whole picture; choose your own pixel adventure. Relive the good ol' days of pixel animation and gaming art before high definition, and celebrate every pixel that got us there.
Co-curated by Brisbane local, Wren Brier who has worked on projects such as Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja, this exhibition is sure to pack a pixel shaped punch. Click here for more details about the exhibiting artists.
