Screening on
Friday 20 May 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Library at The Dock, 107 Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands, it challenges the age old method of global poverty being solved through charity and donations. Miller travelled to 20 countries over 4 years to meet the receivers and givers of humanitarian foreign aid and found that the system was broken.
Following this powerful and uncompromising film, there'll be a presentation by Vinita Baravkar (Bhumi Organic Cotton) "The Truth about the Cotton Industry". She'll delve into the truth behind the textile industry through her personal involvement and first hand knowledge. Come along and gain a greater understanding of this industry and discover how consumer choices have an impact on the earth and humanity, so we may choose wisely.
Light food and refreshments will be served and this is a great opportunity to meet 'one on one' and network with others who are like-minded.
