Right now at Lord of the Fries you can get something extraordinary.

Of course the regular heart attack inducing burgers and loaded fries are still being pumped out of the deep fryers at Southern Cross and Flinders Street stations, but now pedestrians are being tempted with this something more beastly, The Poutine Burger.

Poutine is that delicious cheese and gravy that Canadians love so, but here in Melbourne we don't want plain old delicious poutine. We like our food in a burger, from tofu to sushi ( yes, sushi ) and now chips with hot gravy and cheese. Burgers are everywhere in Melbourne, we just can't get enough of these hand held beauties. And now we don't have to hold the fries in one hand burger in the other as we rush to catch the 4.59 Craigieburn train. The fries are neatly packed between the bun and patty and wrapped in lunch paper to avoid leakage.Soy bacon, a classic lord of the fries patty topped with garlic aioli make up the rest of this outrageous burger which is available for only a limited time.If you're feeling shameless on a Saturday night then the Poutine Burger is a necessity.
