One gets great satisfaction in creating an image from clay. Of course, you get just as much disappointment when your creation turns into an abstract artwork which resembles nothing to that what had in mind. The best part of pottery is the painting and glazing, and I almost wish I could miss the first step and go straight into the fun part.

Pottery on the most half is art with skill. The latter, which of course, I have none of. However, I did come across a place that allowed me to skip the first few steps and go straight to the part I love the most.

The is tucked a little off the Joondalup Drive. I came across it mostly by accident. Of course, when the the heading says '' it just beckoned me to stop. I was just hoping it was a place for "happy endings!"

When I walked into the store I immediately saw a selection of already made pottery items. Imagine my relief. All it really required was for me to pick anything from the shelf, paint it and for them to fire it (glaze it). That sounds easy enough until you get stuck on what item to pick!

With a coffee bar in the back, one can order a coffee and begin painting your piece of art. From figurines to mugs, the Pottery playroom has it all.

Besides offering a range of options from walk-ins to birthday parties, the also has an indoor play area where kids can run off any extra energy. I am thinking this would be the perfect place to spend the holidays with the kids. I do, however, have this sneaky suspicion that it will be busy, so making a booking would probably be the safest of choices.
