The Pottery Expo has grown from strength to strength as an annual event. Spawned from the heart of local studio potter
Jane Annois, it now celebrates its
20th Anniversary over the weekend of
22 & 23 February 2020 from 10am to 5.30pm each day. You'll find the Expo serenely
set along the Warrandyte Riverbank, opposite The Pub in Yarra St, Warrandyte. Enjoy 70 ceramic artists from around Australia, along with guest artists from the UK.
SEE HERE for the full event info, entertainment and workshops and
HERE for the site plan and exhibitor placements.
The weekend will consist of an all-day music program with Ricky Ozimo and roving musicians, Black Cat Bone, Julia Mohr, and Jay Smith and friends, and the
Manningham Arts Centre and Clayworks will offer children's clay workshops all weekend, with wheel throwing demonstrations for the public.
Cups to Go are back! Made by the exhibitors for sale at the Expo, fill it with delicious hot coffee bought from the coffee cart to enjoy with freshly filled baguettes from
Warandyte's Cafe Now and Not Yet.
The renown
delicious crepes from
Stephane le Grand will be back and get your ice cream and smoothies to cool down on a hot day from
Max and Marilyn at
Ice Indulgence. For something a little stronger, wine and beer from
Hops and Vine will be available on
Sat 22 Feb from 12-7pm, so enjoy the festivities of a Saturday evening dinner (catered by Warrandyte's favourite
Nardee Indian restaurant) on site and a light show over the river with
Marc Pascal.
Dinner needs booking - $15 per person, hence send an email to
jannois@bigpond.com to be put on the list.
With many lives touched by the bushfires around Australia, do visit the
Fundraiser Tent at the Expo. Potters at the Expo are donating pots to raise funds and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to those who have suffered traumatic losses and livelihoods due to the fires.
