The Potato Shed is a popular multi-arts facility in Drysdale, and could be considered the entertainment hub of the Bellarine Peninsula. Hosting a variety of performing arts shows throughout the year, the Shed is located on Peninsula Drive, between St Ignatius College and Bellarine Secondary College.



Every year, this popular venue holds a free family fun day, giving locals the opportunity to visit the Shed and enjoy a variety of different activities. There is also plenty of musical and theatrical entertainment on board, to suit people of all ages.

Primarily for children (despite being advertised as a 'family' fun day), the event will be hosted by the Funky Mummies , and local kids' band The Mik Maks will be the headlining entertainment. There will also be other local musicians performing on the outdoor stage throughout the day, so you are sure to find something to suit your musical tastes. If you prefer theatre more, you will be happy to know that there will be performances running throughout the day, as well as skits from roving entertainers, and demonstrations from ballet dancers and actors.



For those more interested in a hands-on experience, there will be plenty of activities to keep you occupied, including art and craft, badge making, creating sand art cards and watching RoboCup demonstrations. Children can also play a round of mini-golf, hop onto the jumping castle, get their face painted, get an airbrushed tattoo, or take a train ride. Older kids might prefer to muck around in the skate park, while younger children might enjoy the Teddy Bears picnic (although you'll have to remember to bring your own teddy bear for this one).



For the first time, the Family Fun Day will also be holding a talent quest for children aged 5 to 15, so this will be the perfect opportunity to show a real (and appreciative) audience what you can do!

Running from 11am to 3pm, this event is absolutely free, and will no doubt be enjoyed by all who attend.
