Have you ever wondered what it will feel like to swim side by side in an aquarium filled with majestic and tranquil marine life? Well wonder no more- Potato Point is the ultimate aquarium!

One of the many breathtaking views of Potato Point & Potato Beach...
With an abundance of sea life from schools of kingfish, salmon, Pork Jackson sharks and stingrays. And near the rocky reefs of sandy gutters lays a habitat of sea squirts and sea urchins.
Snorkelling off the beach and near the rocks here is a haven; it makes you feel as if you are in your very own huge aquarium!

Close up view of the rocks at the beach...
At Potato Point, snorkellers will be welcomed with plentiful marine life. On the northern side of the point is a concrete boat ramp which makes this the perfect entry and exit point from the water. Do be careful as there is a small rip usually around the boat ramp, however, it will not take you far out and you will able to swim back to Potato Beach (Phew!)
This northern side is the perfect area for snorkelling around the point; the southern side, however, is more exposed and can get dangerous.

Check out those hues... perfect for snorkelling...
There are four good swimming points around both Potato Point and Potato Beach, but do be careful around Potato Beach, as there are a few rips against the rocks- so do use caution around here.
Potato Beach can get a few waves that average around 1-1.5m, but they are slightly reduced by Potato Point.
The beach is located south from Jabarrah Point and is around nine hundred metres from Potato Point.

Another view of the beach...
Potato Point is located around seven kilometres east of Bodalla, and getting here is quite easy. Follow Potato Point Road until Long Point Street till you reach the beach reserve, and this is where you find amenities and access to the boat ramp and beach.
Both Potato Point and Potato Beach are worth a visit, and are an absolute refuge for snorkellers!
There are around fifty car spaces at the formal parking area.
